Ever wondered why an NRZ spectrum has no energy at the bit rate? The nulls at the bit rate (and integer multiples of the bit rate) are explained in this 8 minute video tutorial, which compares the spectrum of a square wave and NRZ data. As a bonus we’ll see how the rise and fall time affects the spectrum.
